-
Where is the project at right now? We're currently working on acquiring funding. It takes a lot to make a world class gym, but we're pursuing as many avenues as we can to make it happen.
-
Why Austin?Climbing in Austin is growing rapidly, and we want to give the talent here the home it deserves. We also want to cater to the pro community in the Midwest, and Austin is perfectly located for that.
-
Where in Austin is the gym going to be built? We're currently looking at multiple locations for the gym. We want to maximize our impact on local businesses and make ease of travel as easy as possible without further contributing to the gentrification of East Austin.
-
When will you be open? The timeline for opening depends entirely on construction. We don't know an exact date yet, but we know we want it to be soon!
-
What makes you different from other gyms in Austin? While we love the gyms here, we believe there's some room for improvement, like the lack of speed walls, tall sport walls, technical bouldering, etc. We will improve upon Austin gyms, not replace them.
-
What kinds of climbing will you offer? We will have Bouldering, Lead Climbing, Toprope Climbing, and Speed Climbing. We will have 4 regulation speed walls and high route density for bouldering and sport, so there will be plenty to do!
-
Will the gym be accessible to new climbers?Yes! We want to introduce the amazing sport of climbing to as many people as we can. We'll do so by creating a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere and having varied climbing grades that anyone can try.
-
How often will you reset routes? We are not yet sure what our routesetting schedule will look like. It will depend on our route density and public opinion. But don't worry, there will definitely be enough time for you to send your project!
-
What will your hours be?We currently plan on being open from 6am - 12am on weekdays (Monday - Friday) and 8am - 11pm on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). You can find more information about our hours here.

-
How will I get a belay certification tag?You will receive a belay certification after taking a proper belay certification test in our gym, or if an employee believes you are capable of safely belaying. Cert tags from other gyms will not be accepted.
-
Other than climbing, what facilities will you offer?"Our gym will also offer yoga classes, a state-of-the-art weights area, lounge area, coffee shop/cafe, sauna, and a whole host of other things geared to those interested in fitness or the outdoors.
-
Will I be need to bring my own rocks?Rocks (or something resembling rocks) will be provided. However, if you feel like bringing a support rock or pet rock, we won't judge.

-
Will the gym be kid-friendly?Anyone over the age of 13 will have full autonomous access to the gym. Unless otherwise specified, younger children will be allowed to roam anywhere in the gym as long as they are accompanied by someone 13 years of age or older. We will also have a fully dedicated kids area for anyone under the age of 10.
-
Will you allow dogs?Yes! We love our furry friends, and all dogs will be allowed inside the gym as long as they stay off the mats, but if your little friend causes any trouble we'll have to ask you to tie them up outside in the shade. But no worries, we'll have plenty of water bowls out there for them.
-
I lack upper-body strength. Can I still climb?Believe it or not, yes! Though your upper body plays a large role in climbing, a lot of power comes through your legs. Your body is naturally in tune with movement, making climbing come easy!
-
I'm afraid of heights. How scary is climbing? Many seasoned climbers still deal with a fear of heights. If all safety measures are followed, climbing can be a safe and rewarding sport. Trust your hands and feet, and trust your belay.
-

-
What kind of equipment will I need? You will need climbing shoes at the least if you only want to boulder. If you also want to climb our taller walls, you will need a harness as well. If you don't have your own, you can rent some at the front desk!
-
Will there be an orientation or waiver to complete? There will be a waiver to fill out, and every guest will be required to watch a basic safety video. A tour of the gym is optional, but recommended for first timers.
